It is a voice data collected for building HTS based statistical speech synthesis for Marathi language under the project developing text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis systems for Indian languages.

This is a consortium based project funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India involving 13 institutions and SMT, IIT Madras being consortium Leader. It comprises spoken sentences/utterances each of Mono and English recorded Female native speakers. Speech waveform files are available in .wav format along with its transcription.
